A meeting of the Berlin Board of Education was held in the Berlin High School library beginning at 6:00 p.m. Present for the meeting were Nicole Plourde, Kenneth Proulx, Donald Labrecque, Lynn Moore, Louise Valliere, Corinne Cascadden, Bryan Lamirande, Gary Bisson, Georgia Caron, Roland Pinette, and member of the press.
MINUTES On a motion by Donald Labrecque, seconded by Kenneth Proulx, the Board voted to approve the minutes of the May 2, 2013 meeting, public and nonpublic sessions. The motion passed unanimously.
WARRANTS On a motion by Lynn Moore, seconded by Donald Labrecque, the Board voted to approve the warrants dated, May 13, 2013 and May 20, 2013 for the amounts of $13,932.76 and $124,389.71. On a roll call vote, all members voted in the affirmative.

COMMENTS None
PORTRAIT BIDS On a motion by Donald Labrecque, seconded by Louise Valliere, the Board voted to award the School Portrait bid to Geskus Photography for the 2013-14, 2014-15, and 2015-16 school years. On a roll call vote, all members voted in the affirmative.
BOARD MEETINGS On a motion by Donald Labrecque, seconded by Kenneth Proulx, the Board approved the School Board meeting calendar as presented for the 2013-2014 school year. The meetings will remain on the first and third Thursdays of the month. The motion passed unanimously.
FEDERAL GRANTS On a motion by Kenneth Proulx, seconded by Lynn Moore, the Board voted to authorize the Superintendent to accept monies for federal and state grants that occur during the 2012-2013 school year. On a roll call vote, all members voted in the affirmative.
On a motion by Louise Valliere seconded by Donald Labrecque, the Board voted to authorize Corinne Cascadden and Bryan Lamirande to sign federal accounting forms for SAU #3. The motion passed unanimously.
SUPER’S REPORT The Superintendent informed the Board of the following issues:

- Transitioning Students from Building level to Building level

NEW BUSINESS None
NON PUBLIC On a motion by Kenneth Proulx, seconded by Lynn Moore, the Board voted to go into nonpublic session at 6:21 p.m. in accordance with RSA 91-A3II, (a), (b) & (c). On a roll call vote, all members voted in the affirmative.
On a motion by Donald Labrecque, seconded by Lynn Moore, the Board voted to come out of nonpublic session at 7:58 p.m. The motion passed unanimously. No additional votes were taken in nonpublic session.
STAFFING On a motion by Lynn Moore, seconded by Kenneth Proulx, the Board voted to approve the following staff changes:
RESIGNATIONS:
Rachel Carlson – Music Teacher – District
Tatyana Young – Educational Assistant – BMS
Joan Riff – Educational Assistant - BMS
The motion passed unanimously.
NON UNION SALARIES On a motion by Louise Valliere, seconded by Kenneth Proulx, the Board voted to approve the Non-Union salaries as presented. On a roll call vote, all members voted in the affirmative.
TENATIVE AGREE On a motion by Louise Valliere, seconded by Lynn Moore, the Board voted to approved the Tentative BEA Agreement as presented. On a roll call vote, all members voted in the affirmative.
ADJOURN On a motion by Kenneth Proulx, seconded by Lynn Moore, the Board voted to adjourn it’s meeting at 8:02 p.m. The motion passed unanimously.
